| Content | I believe that creating laws to protect people suffering from an illness that can be benefited by using medical marijuana would be something that's in the interest of many Oklahomans. It has been proven that marijuana contains medical benefits and 11 states now have medical marijuana laws allowing their citizens suffering from various illnesses to have safe, legal access to medical grade marijuana. The court systems, DAs, Police officers, and Judges are not schooled in medicine and have no right to send people to prison for using something that makes them better. This decision needs to be left up to doctors and patients. This is not legalizing marijuana by any means, it is simply giving those who really need it the right to use it without having to break the law and be treated as a criminal by our legal system. |
